Figure Description:

Iron Grenadier (version 2) was released as part of the ninteenth series (2003), carded in a two-pack with Recondo (v3).

Iron Grenadier (version 2) was also released in 2004 as a single carded figure.

Iron Grenadier (version 2) was also released in 2004 with the K-Mart Exclusive Operation Avalanche box set. The Operation Avalanche set included the Assault Quad (v2), two Air Assault gliders, Snake Eyes (v13), Dusty (v8), Iron Grenadier (v2), and Storm Shadow (v13).

Two Pack

Iron Grenadier (v2) came with a black helmet, black shoulder armor, a brown machine gun, a brown mortar with stand, and an orange-brown ghillie suit.

Several items produced by Hasbro indicate that the ghillie suit belongs with Recondo (v3). This includes promotional photography done for www.gijoe.com and the pamphlet included within the 2-pack itself. The text on the back of the card, as well as the artwork on the package indicate that the ghillie suit belongs to the Iron Grenadier. Because of these inconsistencies, many collectors put this particular accessory with either figure.

Single Pack

Iron Grenadier (in the single pack) came with a black helmet, black shoulder armor, a silver rifle, a black laser gun, and a black rifle, and a graphite rifle.

The Operation Avalanche set came with five black guns and two black backpacks. No weapons 'belong' to one figure more than any other. The set also came with a black helmet and two black shoulder pads for the Iron Grenadier.

Body Construction:

Iron Grenadier has an entirely new body sculpt. The entire mold was used to create Iron Grenadier (v3) (2003) and Iron Grenadier (v4) (2004).
