Figure Description:

Cobra Mortal was released as part of the 2006 G.I.Joe Convention ("Heroes Unite" in New Orleans, LA) exclusive Cobra's Most Wanted: Mercenaries! box set from the Official G.I. Joe Collector's Club. The set included: Cobra Mortal, Major Bludd v7, Overlord v2, six Coil Troopers, and six Skull Squad Troopers.

This was the only version of Cobra Mortal made.

Accessories:

Cobra Mortal came with a gray machine gun, a gray crossbow, and a figure stand.

Body Construction:

Cobra Mortal features the entire head and body sculpt of the swivel arm version of Snake Eyes (1983). His arms were shared with the swivel arm versions of Hawk (1983), Short-fuze (1983), Stalker (1983), Steeler (1983), and Zap (1983).

Collectors should take note that Cobra Mortal is not made from the same type of plastic as other 2006 figures. Cobra Mortal is made of a less durable ABS plastic due to requirements for the vacuum chrome. The entire figure is either chromed or painted red over a white, semi-translucent plastic and collectors should take due care as the figure is easy to break. Also of note, that the chrome has been reported to flake off of the figure due to rough play.
