Duke (version twenty-three) was released in G.I. Joe Battle Pack #1, a five pack which also includes Snake Eyes, Scarlett, Roadblock, and Gung Ho to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. The set also included a G.I. Joe Logo music box.

Duke (version twenty-three) was later released with the fourth wave of single packs celebrating the 25th Anniversary of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero.

Duke came with a black machine gun, a black pistol, black binoculars, a green helmet, a green bandolier, and a black display stand.

Variations:

The Battle Set box has two different plastic insert versions, resulting in different poses of the figure in box.

Duke was later released carded. Carded Dukes included a backpack accessory instead of binoculars.

Early figures had no backpack hole. Later figures (starting around the time of Wave 3's release) added this.
