Headhunter Stormtroopers was released as part of the 2008 International G.I.Joe Convention (Dallas, TX) exclusive Cobra Headhunters! box set from the Official G.I. Joe Collectors' Club. The set included: Gristle (v2), six Headhunter B.A.T.S, two Headhunter Guards, and six Headhunter Stormtroopers (v2).

The boxed set also included a pin, comic, and certificate of authenticity.
