Lamprey (version 5) was released in the Defense of Cobra Island box set in 2009. The set also included Air-Viper (v2), Alley-Viper (v11), B.A.T. (v21), Dr. Mindbender (v6), Night Creeper (v11), and Range-Viper (v4).
Lamprey came with a blue visor, a blue vest, a blue and black air tank, a silver submachine gun, a silver pistol, and a black display stand.

Lamprey (version 5) was created using the torso and waist of Alpine (v5) (2008), the arms and legs of Snow Job (v3) (2008), and a new head.
