According to his filecard, Doc has graduated Airborne
School (earning him his Airborne
Wings), Mountaineering
School, and Desert
Training Unit.

Doc's primary piece of equipment is a rescue flare
launcher.

Doc also uses a standard military stretcher with
medical supplies on the underside.

The central medical pack would contain most everything
Doc needs while administering emergency care.
Doc wears an orange cross on his chest and arm.
The painted prototype
of Doc had these painted with red paint rather than orange.
While a white background had already been left out to differentiate
the logo from the Red Cross organization, the change to orange
was also made to help create a distiction. Subsequent G.I.Joe
medical personnel (Lifeline
and Stretcher) instead
used a globe with vertical divisions.
Various pieces of equipment on Doc's helmet and
chest appear to be stored medical supplies for easy access on
the battlefield.
Flare gun with three extra rounds.
