Figure Description:
Cobra Stinger Driver was released as part of the third series (1984), and came packaged exclusively with the Cobra Night Attack 4-WD Stinger. They were also sold in 1985. In 1986, Cobra Stinger Driver was discontinued.
In 1989, Cobra Stinger Driver was available mail-order from Hasbro Direct as part of a six figure vehicle drivers set that included Copperhead, HISS Driver, Crankcase, Frostbite, and Thunder.

Versions of Cobra Stinger Driver:
In 2007, the Stinger Driver was renamed "Vehicle Driver." So while there are different names, they are all based on this Cobra specialty.

Cobra Stinger Driver came with no accessories.

There are no known variations of the Cobra Stinger Driver.

Body Construction:
Cobra Stinger Driver's entire body was from the same exact mold as the swivel-arm version of Cobra Officer. The mold was later used for Python Trooper from the eighth series (1989).
Note that the figure's head only turns left and right - it does not allow the head to look up and down. The heads only turned left and right until the the swivel ball head that was introduced in 1985 (Series Four).

International Variants:
In the United Kingdom and Europe, Cobra Stinger Driver was named simply "Driver" and released with the Night Attack Jeep.
