Payload (version 3) was released carded as part of the twelfth series (1993) as part of the Star Brigade subset. That same year, Payload (v4) was released with the same packaging as Payload (version 3).
Payload came with four pink guns, a pink knife, a gold missile launcher (spring loaded, actually fired), two pink missiles, and a pink figure stand.
Except for the missile launcher, all of Payload's accessories came attached to one plastic "tree". The accessories were removed from the tree.

Variations:
There are no known variations of Payload.
Body Construction:
Payload was created using the same mold as Eco-Warriors Barbecue (1992). The mold was also used in 1993 to create Payload (v4) and in 1994 to create Payload (v5).
Early publicity photos of Payload v3 (and the filecard art) depict Payload being made of the same mold as Payload (v1) and Payload (v2). However, Hasbro apparently lost the mold and used the Barbecue mold instead.
Foreign Variants:
In Europe, this version of Payload was released boxed as the Cobra pilot of the Cobra Invader.
