Thai Fighter

Code Name:

Sagat

Desimone Guide: #514

Carded Figure

Sagat's Filecard

Figure Description:

Sagat was released carded in the twelfth series (1993) as part of Capcom's Street Fighter 2 subset. The Street Fighter 2 figures were numbered 1 through 12 - Sagat was number 12.

He was discontinued domestically in 1994.

Versions of Sagat:

This was the only version of Sagat ever released.

A Street Fighter Movie version of Sagat was released in 1994, but the Street Fighter Movie figures are not considered G.I.Joe figures.

Accessories:

Sagat came with a three purple swords, purple nunchuks, a purple knife, two purple claws, and a purple figure stand.

All of Sagat's accessories came attached to one plastic "tree". The accessories were removed from the tree.

Variations:

There are no known variations of Sagat.

Body Construction:

Sagat's body is entirely original - no parts were taken from other figures and no parts were ever re-used.

The body was designed with a martial arts action - "Thai Chop." Sagat's right arm could be lowered causing the left arm to rise. When the right arm was released, the left arm would come down in a chopping motion.
