Zangief's Filecard

Figure Description:

Zangief was released carded in the twelfth series (1993) as part of Capcom's Street Fighter 2 subset. The Street Fighter 2 figures were numbered 1 through 12 - Zangief was number 9.

He was discontinued domestically in 1994.

Versions of Zangief:

This was the only version of Zangief ever released.

A Street Fighter Movie version of Zangief was released in 1994, but the Street Fighter Movie figures are not considered G.I.Joe figures.

Accessories:

Zangief came with three orange rifles, an orange missile launcher (spring loaded, actually fired), two orange missiles, black string, an orange grappling hook, and an orange figure stand.

Except for the grappling hook, string, and missile launcher, all of Zangief's accessories came attached to one plastic "tree". The accessories were removed from the tree.

Variations:

There are no known variations of Zangief.

Body Construction:

While Zangief's head was new, the chest and arms were from Gnawgahyde (1989) and the waist and legs were from B.A.T. (v2) (1991).
