Still Can't I.D. the Figure?

There are a couple of possibilities:

Custom Figure

If you have a figure that you cannot identify, most likely it's a figure that was put together as a custom figure. Also known as "frankensteined". Since G.I.Joe figures are extremely easy to disassemble and re-assemble, it's very common to find figures put together from other figures.

Beware of anyone trying to claim that they have a "rare" figure that no one else has heard of. These custom figures are easy to put together using a screwdriver.

Scan through the thumbnail images and try to identify the parts used to assemble the figure.

Not G.I.Joe

G.I.Joe molds were used for other toy lines - like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter:The Movie. These figures look just like Joes and have "Hasbro" stamped on them. Look at these figures in the Collectibles Archive.

If they don't have the Hasbro stamp on them, they could be almost any other type of action figure. Other companies such as Remco and Lanard have made action figures constructed almost exactly like Hasbro's G.I.Joes.

International

There were lots of foreign G.I.Joe figures made that were never released in the United States. Try looking under the International Archive.

Recent

The Identify section is up-to-date as of October 2002. If the figure was released after that date, chances are that it isn't pictured here yet. Try looking in the years 2002 and up in the Action Figure Archive.
