Figure Description

This version of Duke was available carded in Japan in 1986 by the Takara toy company. In Japan, both the regular U.S. version of Duke and the Japanese-exclusive version were sold carded.

Accessories:

Duke came with a light green helmet (with holes in the sides), a light green submachine gun, black binoculars, and a tan backpack.

The accessories are the same as the ones available domestically with the original Duke (1983).

Body Construction:

Most of the American versions of Duke had rolled up sleeves (pictured left). A few of the American Dukes had cuffed sleeves (the forearms originally seen with 1982 figures like Stalker and Grunt).

In Japan, most of the Dukes sold had the cuffed sleeves. Only a handful had the original sleeves.

At some point, Hasbro lost the mold for Duke's arms. As a result, later versions of Duke were given different arms for Tiger Force Duke, the Japanese Duke, the Chinese Duke, and Duke (v7).
