X-Troop G.I.Joe Bootlegs
Because of their popularity, G.I.Joe action figures were often imitated by foreign toy companies, trying to cash in on G.I.Joe's popularity. The results were... interesting, to say the least.
Pictured above is an obvious bootleg. This figure was made in Hong Kong by
Happy Well International Enterprise Limited. This line, X-Troop, consisted off
the following 10 characters: Falcon, Matador, Ninja, Phoenix, Polaris, Redstone,
Sergeant, Shark, Side Winder, and Thor-John.
While it may be difficult to see in the photo, these figures had the limited,
5-point articulation. The same molds were used by Funskool to make the
Pepsodent
Premium figures and by Agglo Corporation Limited to
make the Extreme Troop line.
