In 1987, specially marked action figures came packaged with G.I.Joe battle ribbons. The top part of the ad promotes the availability of these ribbons. The lower portion of the ad is a promotion of the G.I.Joe fan club. The advertisement pictured above came out of the G.I.Joe Magazine.
