Find Your Fate - Serpentor and the Mummy Warrior

Ballantine Books published a series of Young Adult books under the "Find Your Fate" logo. The gimmick - by making decisions at certain points of the book, you changed the outcome of the story and you went to a certain page instead of another.

Pictured above is number 20 in the series - Serpentor and the Mummy Warrior by R.L. Stine. The book is 88 pages in length, its ISBN # is 0-345-34069-8, and it was first published in August of 1987.

The back of the book reads: It's the G.I. Joe Team versus a genetically perfect warrior in SERPENTOR AND THE MUMMY WARRIOR.

How did you, Bombshell, the meanest, nastiest, most fearless G.I. Joe ever, end up in Egypt fighting a mummy? Why complain? At least it's combat!

Your enemies are formidable: COBRA scientist Dr. Mindbender. Hordes of Hun warriors. And Serpentor, Mindbender's finest creation - a genetic mix of the ten best warriors of all time. But don't forget that you came to rescue the kidnapped Dr. Wilmott and the mummy he was carbon-dating. If you don't bring them back, Mindbender and Serpentor will reanimate the mummy, unleashing its ancient powers, and civilization will face endless war.

When you explode into action, Bombshell, make sure you pick the right time and place as you FIND YOUR FATE.

The cover was painted by Hector Garrido.
