Find Your Fate - Operation: Mindbender

Ballantine Books published a series of Young Adult books under the "Find Your Fate" logo. The gimmick - by making decisions at certain points of the book, you changed the outcome of the story and you went to a certain page instead of another.

Pictured above is number 9 in the series - Operation: Mindbender by R. L. Stine. The book is 88 pages in length, its ISBN # is 0-345-33786-7, and it was first published in September of 1986.

The back of the book reads: Cobra is attempting to infiltrate and destroy the GI Joe Team. Only YOU can stop them in OPERATION: MINDBENDER.

Army spy planes have picked up evidence of covert military operations on a small island in the South Pacific. Your team - Leatherneck, Airtight, Beach Head, and you, Commando - have been sent to investigate.

But suddenly Beach Head and Airtight attack you and Leatherneck! It's unbelievable, but you find yourself in a vicious fight with your own team members!

When it's over, you notice that Beach Head and Airtight are disoriented and confused. They see you as the enemy. They have been brainwashed!
