Mail-In Major Bludd (1982)
In late 1982, the second ever mail-in figure was offered by Hasbro - Major Bludd.
The offer was not heavily publicized - the information was never on any cardbacks or packaged with any vehicles. The information about the promotion was mailed out to G.I.Joe collectors. Noted 3 3/4" collector Thomas Wheeler speculates that the list was compiled from people who ordered the first mail-in figure, Cobra Commander.
