In 1994 Hasbro offered Joseph Colton (aka G.I. Joe) as a special mail-in offer. Due to unanticipated orders Hasbro sold out of the figures and no more were produced. Above is an example of an out of stock note stating the figure was sold out and no more figures would be produced. Also, printed proofs of purchase were included for reimbursment as well as a check (not pictured) for the amount of the figure.
