Dispatch: Introducing Rampage

In 1989, Hasbro Direct offered the action figures Heavy Metal and Steeler via mail-order. However, the figure that arrived was Rampage - a renamed Heavy Metal.

Pictured above is the "dispatch" that came with the figure. It reads:

Official Dispatch from G.I.Joe Headquarters

Steeler, one of G.I.Joe's top-notch infantrymen, has been re-assigned overseas and is no longer a member of the Special Mission Drivers' team. He is currently leading an assault against Cobra forces somewhere in the Persian Gulf. To fortify your forces, Rampage, the heavy-duty, hard hitting tank driver, has been called in to replace him. This monster of muscle is an expert in the field and unbeatable in battle! Deploy him well.

General Hawk - G.I.Joe Commander

The dispatch is dated 1989.
