Pictured above is an unreleased factory-level version of Snake Eyes. The figure was intended to be a Wal-Mart exclusive, but due to safety issues with the included parachute, this version of Snake Eyes was never released. When the rest of the Wal-Mart exclusives were shown at the Hasbro open house, the Snake Eyes version 12 (2002) was used as a placeholder while the other four figures shown were hand-painted prototypes.

The figure would have included a backpack (pictured above left) and a parachute (pictured above right).

While it remains officially unreleased, one set was accidentally included in a Wal-Mart bounus pack and shipped to retail. Note that the two-pack is obviously not a finished product due to the use of the Sgt.Hacker/Scalpel insert.

However, the set does include a plastic tray that is specific to the figures and accessories. This gives some indication of what accessories were intended to be included. While this set has not been opened, it is likely that the parachute would have been similar to the Halo Jumper parachute that was pictured on Hasbro's official website (pictured below)

While several production-level hard copies of Snake Eyes have become available to collectors (as with both of the figures pictured on this page), it is unknown if these are the figures as they would have been released or if they are simply figures made by the workers at the factory where G.I. Joe figures are produced.
