On the back of the M.M.S. box, another version of Hawk appears with
his shirt a lighter green than his pants.
An animated version of Hawk appeared in commercials well before the
run of the G.I. Joe animated series. He is depicted with a cap rather
than helmet (as he often appeared in the comic book). Another notable
animated character who appears piloting the jetpack J.U.M.P. wears the
name "Hawk" across the front of his white helmet.

Action figures usually start as "Hard Copies". These models
are used to create the molds, that are used to press out a run of "First
shots" or "Test shots". These test shots are done in
many different colors and lack a date stamp until the production run
begins.
