Description:

Sitting slightly longer than the the Skystryker (1983), a new G.I.Joe fighter/bomber jet was created for a possible release in 1989. It was to hold 2 figures and was loosly based on the Swedish Viggen jet with moving canards.

This model was crafted out of a carvable wood in 1989 but was cancelled for uncertain reasons. It is possible that the cancellation was due to shifts in perceived marketplace needs and/or cost issues.

The jet had several external bombs and missles. The landing gear was to be retractable much like the Cobra Night Raven (1986). While the parts used on the prototype were borrowed from existing vehicles, if the jet had been produced it would have had newly-created gear and accessories.

It also had internal bomb compartments. At the push of a button, the bomb bay door would swing open and drop three bombs. There would have been three of these compartments, allowing the jet to drop a total of nine bombs.

It was also to have working 'turkey feathers' engine exhaust vanes that could be manipulated to simulate kicking in the afterburners.
