Pictured above is and early version of General
Hawk (1991) as the figure appeared in the 1992 yearly insert catalog.
Notable differences include the gold stars on his headwear and the flesh
tone on his chest rather than a black undershirt.

In many cases, Hasbro used placeholders and prototype images in various
insert catalogs. While the American catalog image at the top is quite
similar to the produced figure, the image from Belgium directly above
depicts a placeholder that used previously-existing parts. In this case,
the parts used are repainted from Flint
(1985) and Recoil (1989).
