Pictured above is and early version of Overkill (1991) as the figure appeared in the 1992 yearly insert catalog. Notable differences include the gold chest plate, backpack, and leg wire detail. Also, the forearm has additional black coloring.

In a hasbro product catalog, Overkill again appeared, but with green wire details on the legs and a green chest plate.

In many cases, Hasbro used placeholders and prototype images in various insert catalogs. While the American catalog image at the top is quite similar to the produced figure, the image from Belgium directly above depicts a placeholder that used previously-existing parts. In this case, the parts used are repainted from Dee-Jay (1989) and Range Viper (1990).
