Devil's Due Series

Devil's Due Studios acquired the rights to produce the G.I. Joe comic series in 2001, starting with a four issue, bi-monthly series published through Image Comics. With issue five, the series went to a monthly shipping schedule.

In January of 2004, Devil's Due left Image Comics and began publishing as Devil's Due Productions.

The first issue of the series was reprinted multiple times, in a second and third printing (the third printing available in the Special Collection Action Figures with Sound Attack Weapons Eight Pack), and in M.I.A. which included the second issue.

G.I. Joe Trade Paperbacks

The first issue was also reprinted in the trade paperback (Reinstated!), which included the first four issues. The second trade paperback, Reckonings, includes issues six through nine (skipping issue five), while Malfunction collected issues ten through fifteen and Alliances collected issues seventeen through twenty-one. The Return of Serpentor collected issues sixteen and twenty-two through twenty-five, and Players & Pawns skipped issues twenty-six and twenty-seven and collected issues twenty-eight through thirty-three. Union of the Snake reprinted issues thirty-six through forty-one, skipping thirty-four and thirty-five, while The Rise of the Red Shadows finished up the series with issues forty-two and forty-three as well as selected pages from previous issues.
