Combat Pay announcements
In 1990, specially marked G.I.Joe packages came with "G.I.Joe Combat Pay". The pay came in denominations of anywhere from $5 to $10,000. There were also paystubs that could be redeemed for prizes if the winning number was announced in the Combat Pay commercials.
These Combat Pay commercials were made up from clips from other G.I.Joe cartoons and commercials, and usually ran during the DIC G.I.Joe cartoon.
