European Action Force - Hyena Tank
In the early 1980s, the European toy company Palitoy released a line of 3 3/4" military toys called Action Force. While most of
the line was entirely original and similar to Kenner's Star Wars toys in
articulation, many early G.I.Joe figures and vehicles were recolored,
renamed, and incorporated into the Action Force line. Action Force toys were sold in most parts of Western Europe - including the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Spain, West Germany, Italy, and Greece.
Pictured above is the Action Force Hyena Tank. It was created using the same mold as the Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank, but molded in red. Also, note the unusual and colorful decals that were applied to the inside of the cockpit, the turret, and front. The Hyena Tank came with a driver, Red Jackal.
Two variants of the Hyena Tank have been seen - one with the decals pictured above, the other with decals more similar to the Cobra HISS Tank stickers. It is unclear which version is more difficult to find.
