When news of the G.I.Joe Headquarters was first announced, the official Hasbro club, Steel Brigade Club, announced that the mold of the 1992 G.I.Joe Headquarters would be used.
At the G.I.Joe convention in Kansas City, Hasbro told the public that it would actually be a repaint of the 1983 G.I.Joe Headquarters.
It turns out - the Steel Brigade Club was right. The TRU Exclusive Headquarters is in fact going to use the mold from the 1992 version.
No word yet on which figure will be included with the set.
This zig got launched to us by a Toys R Us employee. It's a memo sent from a gentleman at Toys R Us National in response to questions about some new G.I.Joe items that have appeared in the Toys R Us computers.
All your base belong to us! [Name Withheld] at [Store # Withheld] has been rabid about this item. Here is the scoop: SKN 345906 will be a tru exclusive re-issue of a classic 3 3/4 GI Joe base. It will be priced at $59.99. It will be popular. It will make you wish your mother did not throw away all your old toys. Expect to see it in stores around mid-November.
