NLC Report

The winner of the Ebay auction for the 2001 G.I.Joe Night Landing Craft sent in this first look at the vehicle - a repaint of a Johnny Quest toy, a mold that Hasbro acquired when they purchased Galoob toys a few years back.

I liked the design in general but there was a few things that I would have done away with such as the flag and the antennae don't stay very well in their sockets. But i was really disappointed with the figure for Cutter. He was made of a softer plastic and seemed a bit flimsy. I almost felt like I could mold him with my fingers. I don't know if it was because he was an advanced copy or if Hasbro has a new plastic formula. But I thought I would share that info. Maybe the person who won the Cobra Wave Crusher can write in and see if his figure was the same way?

When asked about an early rumor that the figures were too large to fit comfortably in a vehicle designed for the smaller Galoob Johnny Quest figures-

Well it [Cutter] did seem a bit large, but I think it fit. No room for any other figures though.

Thanks to the Electric Knight!
