When he was first released, Destro's original 1983 filecard revealed that his true name was "Unknown". As G.I.Joe history progressed, by 1988, Destro's true name was eventually revealed on the second Destro filecard as "James McCullen Destro".

Apparently, someone at Hasbro had missed out on this info. A few months ago, when Hasbro printed the first versions of Destro's filecard from the 2001 version of Destro (v6), many spotted that Hasbro had listed Destro's name as "Unknown" again.

Thanks to the people at the Steel Brigade Club, Destro's name has been fixed. A new version of the filecard for the 2001 version of Destro (v6) has been spotted in toy stores and should eventually replace the older "unknown" filecard.
