Description:
The Whirlwind [Twin Battle Gun] was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1983. It was also sold in 1984 and was discontinued in 1985.
In 1986 through 1987, it was also available as a mail-order offer from Hasbro Direct.
Easily Broken/Lost Pieces:
The machine gun covers are removable and can sometimes be lost. Also, the wheels of the Whirlwind can be locked into a "rolling" position, or lowered in a shooting position - beware of broken wheels.
International Variants:
The Whirlwind was also sold in Argentina in the early 90s. In Europe in the early 1980s, the Whirlwind was recolored in dark green and black and released as the Z Force Whirlwind.
