The Snow Cat was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1985. It included the driver, Frostbite. It was also sold in 1986 and was discontinued in 1987.
The Snow Cat was also available via mail order from 1988-89.

Frostbite was released as part of the fourth series (1985), packaged exclusively with the Snow Cat arctic assault half-track vehicle. He was also sold in 1986, then was discontinued domestically in 1987.
In 1989, Frostbite was available mail-order from Hasbro Direct as part of a six figure vehicle drivers set that included Copperhead, HISS Driver, Stinger Driver, Crankcase, and Thunder.
